Where do you source your animals from?

Cluny Exports Agribusiness Specialists have an Australia-wide network of breeders and farmers so it is best to let us know your specifications and livestock objectives and we can make recommendations tailored to your specific needs, performance required and environment.We source from proven commercial and the top stud breeders in Australia.  Sourcing Australia wide allows us to go to areas that are having the best seasons and avoid those that may be experiencing droughts or floods.

How do we know where the livestock are from?

All cattle will have either an electronic ear tag (in Australia, this is called the National Livestock Identification System or NLIS) or visual ear tag which means that each animal can be traced back to the farm of origin. All livestock shipped will be provided with computer identification records. The visual ear tag is a backup in case the NLIS tag is dislodged in transit. Under Australia Standards for Export Of Livestock all livestock must be traceable to their properties of origin.

All animals will be provided with a list detailing weights and ear tag numbers. We also endeavour to link the climate we source livestock  from to the destination climate to reduce acclimatisation risks.
